O.k., just joking. But he really must hate the 30,000+ Mississippians who are still living in FEMA trailers, many of which are toxic.
He is about to funnel $600,000 in housing grant money into a port improvement project (and btw, the port could eventually include a hotel and casino).
This AP story says Reps Barney Frank and Maxine Waters are discussing oversight hearings. They should be strongly encouraged to do so, and our Congresspeople should be encouraged to support them.
I will have more to say about this as soon as I can collect my thoughts and put another post together. In the meantime, here are a couple of suggestions:
1. People are blogging about this. I’m placing a list of blogs that have posted on this today at the bottom of this post. Please give them some love, and if they have open comments, leave them a note and let them know you appreciate their coverage of this issue.
2. If you’re a blogger, or know a blogger, especially a Mississippi blogger, please find a way to write about this in your own way and expand the conversation on this issue.
Blogs that have written about this story today are below. I will link to any blog that writes about this as soon as I find out they’ve written about it. (Warning – I’ve not reviewed most of these to see what they’re about. I found them by doing a quick search and linked them because they’re writing about this story. I will, however, visit each and every one, take a good look, and leave comments once I’m done with my next post.)
Update: More links
RiMo at DK has a link a streaming video of Barbour in Congressional hearing.

How about Haley Barbour drinks the blood of his children from the skull of his lover without so much as a stomachache. I never thought I’d live to see masses of people act without a conscience (ie. bush, barbour, riley and minions).
