Bamablue of Left in Alabama was kind enough to share a few flower pics with us. They’re such nice images, it takes a lot of restraint not to post them all at once. These Bleeding Hearts look more like a painting than a photo, at least to my amateur eye.

I’m going out today to get some rose pics. The University here has a nice rose garden, and they just started blooming this week. I’m afraid the cold is going to kill all the blooms tonight, so I’m going to fill up a couple of cameras with pics of them for later use.
Comment by geneo 13 April, 2008 @ 11:25 amGreat photo! Bleeding hearts are difficult to photograph because they’re so darned low and you really need to be underneath for good effect, but those are beauties.
Comment by mooncat 13 April, 2008 @ 3:27 pmAre Bleeding Hearts a sort of Orchid? I’ve got some folks here wondering about that . . .
Comment by geneo 13 April, 2008 @ 4:14 pmBleeding Hearts, what a beautiful name for a beautiful flower. I might change my blog name to Bleeding Heart Liberal……
Comment by redeye 13 April, 2008 @ 7:10 pmI think they are also known as Love Lies Bleeding.
Comment by herding old cats 13 April, 2008 @ 10:34 pmNot sure about that.
I don’t think Bleeding Hearts are orchids. But they are pretty little “liberal” flowers.
